Scientific cultivation of capsicum

Spread the knowledge

Farmers can earn lakhs by cultivating capsicum. If the cultivating varieties of capsicum are cultivated, farmers can get about 30 to 50 quintals per acre crop.

Capsicum can be cultivated well in Haryana, Punjab, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka etc. So know how capsicum is cultivated scientifically and how you can make it a profitable business.

Capsiculture is a profession in which you can earn good returns in two to four months. If you properly cultivate capsicum, you may get a great benefit in four months.

Capsicum requires lesser farming, as well as the climate and demand of our country is very good for its cultivation.

Selection of land

Whenever you are going to cultivate it, first you have to choose the appropriate land so that there is good yield. The smooth loam soil for the cultivation of capsicum, in which the drainage system has been well managed, is considered the best.

For cultivation the pH of land should be 6 to 6.5. Apart from this, the cultivation of capsicum can also be done in the Balumi loam soil, but when the fertilization of the soil and its plant from time to time has been managed properly.

Climate

Capsicum requires soft humid climate for cultivation. The temperature of at least 21 to 250 C is good for good yield of capsicum and its good growth.

Cotton may cause damage to capsicum due to excessive fall. At the time of freezing, the flowers on the capsicum plants seem to be less; the shape of its fruit also becomes small and crispy.

Advanced varieties

The names of advanced varieties of capsicum are as follows: Arka Gaurav, Arka Mohini, California Wonder, Yolo Wonder, Aishwarya, Alankar, Hari Rani, Pusa Dipti, Green Gold etc.

Manure management

While preparing the farm for cultivation of capsicum, the manure of about 25 tonnes of cow dung should be mixed in the field. After that, 60 kg of nitrogen, 80 kg phosphorus and about 60 kg potash is inserted during planting of plants.

60 kg nitrogen is added half-a-half times in the form of transplanting one plant and another 55 days later.

Seedling and Seed Treatment

Capsicum seeds can be sown three times a year, from June to July, from second August to September and from third November to December. The seeds of capsicum seeds should be sown only after sowing them in 2.5 g of thyroid or Bavistin before sowing.

At the time of seeding, the distance of each row should be 10 cm. The seed is sown in at least 1 cm deep groove and sown in it. When the sowing of the seed is complete, then after covering the dung with manure and soil, make light irrigation.

Planting Time and Method

After planting the seed of capsicum, when the plant comes out, then that plant is planted in the field. Plant time to plant is from July to August, September to October and from December to January. About 15 cm long and 3-4 leaves are planted in planting.

Capsicum plant is planted in the evening. Plants should have a distance of 60-45 cm from plants. Before planting the plant, dilute the root of 1 g of Bavistin in one liter of water and immerse it in half a hour.

Irrigation management

The farm should be irrigated immediately after planting the plant. Cultivation of irrigated capsicum or irrigation more than it can cause harm to its fruits. The soil should be irrigated by 1 week in summer and 10 to 15 days in the cold.

If rain water starts to freeze in the rain, then arrange the removal of water as soon as possible.

Weeding hoeing

The weeds should be cleaned after 25 days after planting the first weeding and second weeding, at least 45 days after weeding. After 30 days of planting the plant, soil is reclaimed on it so that the plants remain strong and do not fall.

Disease and pest control

The names of insects that are found in capsicum are as follows:

Months, Thrips, White fly and Spiders
To avoid all the pests given above, prepare the solution of diethothaate or malathion in about 1 liter of water and spray it twice every 15 days interval.

Other diseases

The name of the disease in capsicum is something like this:

Hemorrhagic disease – This disease occurs only in the nursery stage, therefore, seeds should be treated during the sowing of seeds to avoid the disease.

Bhadutiya Disease – This disease is mostly found in summer. From this disease leaves become white powders such as spots, after which the leaves become yellowish and dry. To avoid this, the solution of 0.2% should be sprayed at least 3 times every 15 days intervals.

Bacteria boiled – With this disease, the crop starts drying up. Before avoiding this disease, about 15 kg of bleaching powder should be added to the soil at the rate of hectare before transplanting the plants.

Foliar crushing – With the outbreak of this disease, the leaves become shrinking, as well as its leaves become green in color. Prior to sowing of this disease, add approximately 10 gram carbohydrane to 3g according to the area per square meter.

After about 20 days after planting the plant, dimethoate 30 EC. It should be dissolved in 1 ml of water and sprinkled it. Spraying should be done at the interval of every 15 days.

Shyamvarna – The disease starts to cause dark spots on the leaves and then its branches also dry up. The fruits affected by this disease also start to deteriorate. To prevent this, treated seeds should be used only. Apart from this, make a solution of 0.2% MENKOGAB or DIFOLTAN, and spray it 2 times every 20 days interval.

Frustration of fruit

Just 60 to 70 days after planting the plants, they are ready to break the fruits of capsicum. The fruits of its fruit rotation continue for about 100 to 120 days.

Market price

However, the price of capsicum remains low in the market, but most of the products are sold from Rs 40 to Rs 120 per kg. In big cities, the sale of Rs 80 to Rs 150 per kg is done. If it is cultivated in a commercial form then it can be sold directly in the vegetable market. Where the price is available from 30 rupees to 60 rupees per kg.
