Month-to-month comparison of crane imports in 2020 and 2021
Data from China Customs shows that in 2021, Japan imported various types of crane equipment from China worth US$133.96 million, an increase of 33% from US$100.55 million in 2020. According to statistics from the Ministry of Commerce of China, from January to December 2021, the total trade volume between China and Japan was US$371.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%. Among them, China’s exports to Japan were 165.85 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 16.3%; China’s imports from Japan were 205.55 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 17.7%. It can be seen that the Japanese economy is more and more closely tied to China. Among them, Japan’s imports of cranes surged in the second half of the year, which should be good news for Chinese crane suppliers in 2022.
