Month-to-month comparison of crane imports in 2020 and 2021
Data obtained from China Customs shows that in 2021, Turkey imported various types of crane equipment from China worth US$66.235 million, an increase of 80.99% from the total import value of US$36.594 million in 2020. According to data from the Ministry of Commerce of China, from January to December 2021, the trade volume between China and Turkey was US$34.23 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42.2%. Among them, China’s export to Turkey was US$29.19 billion, a year-on-year increase of 43.5%; its import from Turkey was US$5.04 billion, a year-on-year increase of 35.1%. Turkey’s rapid growth in demand for cranes gives us some hope for its future economic growth.

Statistics of imported cranes in Turkey in 2021 by category
It can be seen from the data that Turkey has the largest demand for Crawler Crane, Parts of lifts, tipping cranes or escalators, Rubber-mounted self-propelled crane. From the time line, cranes are purchased in March, July and November. During the peak period, the monthly import value of other months is less than half of the peak period. Among the various cranes required in Turkey, the types of cranes that Dongqi can provide include: gantry cranes, bridge cranes, jib cranes, electric hoists, electric winches and various crane accessories. It can be seen from the data that Turkey ranks fourth in import value of electric hoists, sixth in import value of manual hoists, seventh in overhead cranes, and eighth in gantry cranes.
