As far as I know NIFTEM offers degree as M.Tech. for which basic qualification required is B. Tech not B.Sc. There will be ambiguity in degree if you go for M.Tech after completing B.Sc. So there is no point in going for M.Tech. But yes you can give JRF exam conducted by ICAR on different subjects categories related to agriculture like plant sciences, social sciences etc and chose your choice of subject accordingly.
